
The Kathmandu Metropolitan City has given Rs 50 million to the Sajha Yatayat Cooperatives Limited in accordance with a reciprocal assention.
The sum has been given to the Sajha Yatayat community for the extension of its administrations regarding enhancing people in general transport under the 'savvy city' campaign.KMC leader Bidya Sundar Shakya given over a check for Rs 50 million KMC mayor Bidya Sundar Shakya handed over a cheque for Rs 50 million to Sajha Yatayat Cooperatives Limited chairman Kanak Mani Dixit at a programme here today.
Sajha will operate 12 deluxe buses and one ordinary bus from the money. With this the Sajha would operate 43 buses with support from KMC.
Mayor Shakya said the support is aimed at making a leap in the public transport sector and to displace the small vehicles in the Kathmandu Valley.
The buses to be operated now would provide free service to the senior citizens, citizens holding the poor identity cards, the disabled persons and children under five years of age.
KMC has provided Rs 150 million to Sajha including the amount provided today.
Sajha has been operating its buses for 365 days.to Sajha Yatayat Cooperatives Limited administrator Kanak Mani Dixit at a program here today.
Sajha will work 12 luxurious transports and one common transport from the cash. With this the Sajha would work 43 transports with help from KMC.
Leader Shakya said the help is gone for making a jump in people in general transport part and to dislodge the little vehicles in the Kathmandu Valley.
The transports to be worked now would give free support of the senior residents, natives holding the poor character cards, the handicapped people and youngsters under five years old.
KMC has given Rs 150 million to Sajha including the sum gave today.
Sajha has been working its transports for 365 days.
